12 - 2 pm
Want to learn the basic of crocheting? This class will make you go from 0-100 real quick. Cynthia Clark will facilitate weekly workshops at The Woodlawn that teaches basic stitches and progresses to more advanced fashion pieces for the entire family. Cynt, as our workshop facilitator is affectionately called, will curate her skill set, Youtube and some of her crochet friends to create a crochet workshop we trust you will enjoy. Her friends will drop in to show off some of their work and crochet techniques just like Mr. Rogers did in Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Be a part of learning crochet, collaborating with other crocheters and helping Cynt develop her Crochet Line in the process. Take a look at some of the items Cynt can help you learn to make at www.CrochetByCynt.com
PARTICIPANT SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Cynt will provide some yarn as supplies last. She will also have crochet hooks you can borrow while class is in session. If you are a beginner, it is recommended that you get a skein/ball of yarn and a crochet hook suggested by the yarn you choose. Cynt recommends a Red Heart Super Saver yarn in a rather light color to learn with. A light color will help beginners see their stitches until they get the basic hang of the craft.
Workshop participants can get Red Heart Super Saver yarn at a variety of places like Walmart, Michael’s and Joann’s Fabric.
